TOM DANIS
Managing Principal
Mr. Danis is a Managing Principal and co-founder of RCP Advisors. He leads the manager research and investment sourcing function of the firm including the ongoing relationship management of private equity fund managers. As a member of the firm’s investment committee, he is also responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of investments. Mr, Danis is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events, and is often quoted about private equity trends in leading industry journals. Mr, Danis has been involved in the private equity industry for over 12 years and currently serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Chicago Growth Partners, Prairie Capital, Sterling Capital Partners, and Wingate Partners.
Prior to founding RCP, Mr. Danis was a Director of Aon’s Financial Sponsors Practice where he was responsible for advising companies on the financial, legal and risk management issues surrounding due diligence, structuring and valuation of transactions primarily from a liability perspective. Mr. Danis developed relationships with many private equity firms that were involved in these transactions.
Mr. Danis is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, CAPEX, The Commonwealth Club of Chicago, and The Executives Club of Chicago.
Mr. Danis earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of Colorado.
