Staff Accountant
Dallas, TX – RCP is seeking to hire a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Fund Administration team. This position will sit in Dallas, TX, or be remote. The primary purpose of the Staff Accountant is to perform accounting duties within our organization under the direction of the Corporate Controller. The Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain financial reporting workpapers and schedules
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
- Initiate accounting journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Initiate bank wires and transfers and oversee daily banking transactions (AP and AR); perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances
- Review expense reimbursement transactions
- Assist with annual audit preparations and quarterly inquiries
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and other accounting issues
- Maintain client invoice schedules
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed; Work as a liaison with both management company, fund administration team, and parent company
- Assist with payroll and benefit reconciliations
- Assist with development, implementation, reporting, and monitoring of Internal Controls to ensure compliance with SOX standards
Requirements and Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years accounting experience; including booking journal entries, performing account reconciliations, performing and/or audit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent critical thinking skills
Preferred:
- Professional certification such as CPA
- Public accounting experience
- Experience in professional services or private equity environment
