Human Resources Generalist
Administration Department
Chicago, IL – September 8, 2023 – RCP is seeking to hire a full-time Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) provides support in functional areas of Human Resources (HR), including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, direct and indirect compensation programs, communication, organizational development, training, and special projects. The HRG will assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination; prepare various reports; consistently apply and interpret organization policy; act as a liaison with other departments and organizations; and provide input in the review and evaluation of personnel as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the talent acquisition process including but not limited to the preparation of job descriptions and postings, candidate screening, preparation of job offers, and coordinating background checks

Manages employee onboarding and offboarding processes

Data entry in human resources information system (HRIS) and periodically audits for accuracy
-
Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of human resources policies, processes, and programs
-
Identifies and participates in salary benchmarking surveys and collects market data for new and existing positions
-
Manages the performance management process and assists with employee career planning and development
-
Prepares, maintains, and distributes compensation statements
-
Creates and maintains confidential electronic personnel files for all employees
-
Assists with benefit administration
-
Provide support and guidance to employees and managers in a variety of HR-related topics and employee relation matters

Maintains working knowledge of various federal, state, and local employment laws
-
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:
​

Bachelor’s degree
-
At least four years of HR experience
-
SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification(s) are a plus
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
-
Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills, mediation skills, and ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy
-
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion
-
Experience in professional services environment preferred

Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
-
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels within an organization
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to act with integrity, profession
