Business Development
Chicago, IL – RCP is seeking to hire a full-time Analyst on the Business Development team. The primary purpose of the Business Development Analyst is to support the business development function of the Firm. This includes sourcing investment opportunities as well as overseeing the Firm’s fundraising efforts. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and writing and conversational skills. An analyst must be a self-starter, a problem solver, and willing to support the other members of the business development team. This position requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with the eagerness to learn all facets of the private equity industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to senior members of the team with tasks including qualitative and quantitative data requests, cash flow analysis as well as tracking current fundraising opportunities for each investment strategy, and maintaining the firm’s proprietary CRM database with daily updates to accounts and contacts into the CRM

Manage and support relationships with the Firm’s existing investors; participate alongside partners at in-person meetings, facilitate quarterly update calls, meetings, and travel (this role requires the candidate to travel 10% of the time), and respond to requests for information

Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with new prospects: endowments, foundations, family offices, corporate/public pensions, consultants, and advisors

Pitch all investment opportunities of the firm to existing and prospective limited partners to fundraise for each investment strategy: Primary Fund-of-Funds, Secondary Funds, Co-invest Funds, Private Credit Funds – also assisted affiliates focused on Impact, Venture, GP Stakes, and NAV Lending
Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business management or related field

Up to 3 years of sales, marketing, or fundraising experience

Investment banking, capital markets, alternative investments, or related financial services experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Salesforce
